Champions League - 2nd Leg

In a thrilling upset, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated FC Barcelona 6-1 at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

PSG, who had lost the first leg 4-0 in Paris, produced a stunning performance to overturn the deficit and advance to the quarter-finals with a 6-5 aggregate victory.

Luis Suárez gave Barcelona an early lead in the third minute, but Layvin Kurzawa equalized for PSG in the 40th minute with an own goal.

PSG took the lead for the first time in the tie in the 50th minute when Lionel Messi scored a penalty.

PSG then ran riot, with Edinson Cavani scoring twice in the space of five minutes to make it 4-1.

Julian Draxler added a fifth goal for PSG in the 84th minute, before Cavani completed his hat-trick in the 89th minute.

The victory was a major upset, as Barcelona were considered one of the favorites to win the Champions League this season.

It also marked the first time that Barcelona had conceded six goals in a single match at the Camp Nou since 1951.
